Discordia concors is about finding order in disorder. I advised students over the years to avoid vanity presses and ventures like Poetry.com when they expressed an interest in publishing poetry. I have edited a university literary journal, Windhover, for eight years, and I believe in the process of academic and literary journals. I have submitted and published poems in some good journals myself: descant, Borderlands, Di-Verse-City, and others. I intend to continue submitting poems in the future.
I decided recently, however, that I would prefer to have readers rather than to add another line on my curriculum vitae. To that end, I plan to begin posting some of my poems on this blog. I hope you enjoy them.
